In addition to its trained Hazardous Waste Operators (HAZWOPER), Marine Logistics, Inc. employs skilled laborers to perform daily maintenance, preservation and painting services to barges and other vessels in the harbor. As an International Paint distributor, Marine Logistics, Inc. maintains a complete inventory of supplies and paints for general repairs and complete painting of overhauled vessels.
Marine Logistics operates a specialized, 36 foot workboat, the Nakue, with a reel that carries 1000 feet of harbor boom. This unique vessel provides booming services to bunkering vessels in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard Mandate 41-95. Pre-booming of fueling vessels diminishes the potential severity of an oil spill because it acts as containment for any petroleum products that are released. Marine Logistics, Inc. takes pride in being one of a few companies in Hawaii that is capable of providing these necessary and vital oil spill response services. Marine Logistics, Inc. is a USCG certified inland, level A, Oil Spill Response Organization (OSRO). It is only one of two companies in Hawaii with a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with the U.S. Coast Guard to respond to oil spill emergencies.

Marine Logistics, Inc. is a full service oil spill response organization and vessel maintenance preservation company. It was formed in response to OPA90 requirements following the Exxon Valdez oil spill. Marine Logistics Inc. possesses all of the necessary oil spill recovery equipment and skilled personnel to effectively respond to any oil spill emergency. Our goal is to ensure that Hawaii's pristine environment is unharmed as a result of any petroleum release or pollution incident. Marine Logistics Inc. is available 24 hours a day, every day, to respond as necessary to achieve this goal. It has partnered with the Marine Spill Response Corporation, National Response Corporation and Clean Islands Council in its oil spill response efforts.
