Uaukewai Diving, Salvage & Fishing, Inc. (Uaukewai) provides a vast variety of maritime services within the Hawaiian Islands, as well as the South Pacific. Our capabilities range from underwater construction/maintenance to specialized salvage projects, vessel assists and rescues, and contract towing operations.

Uaukewai is currently contracted by Tesoro Hawaii to maintain their Single Point Mooring (SPM) located at Barbers Point, Oahu. Maintenance of the SPM includes such tasks as major overhauls, which entails extensive surface supplied air diving expertise. Additional requirements, such as hose repairs, hose replacement and underwater pipeline repairs and maintenance, necessitate the use of Uaukewai's specialized dive/workboat, Naina. With an installed diver control station, decompression chamber and other diver support equipment, Naina was extensively utilized during recent operations including the removal and replacement of the SPM for overhaul. That operation included over 200 decompression dives and was successfully accomplished without injury or incident.

In addition to maintaining Tesoro's SPM, Uaukewai provides standby and line boat services to tankers that discharge products and receive bunkers at the SPM. Tanker services are provided approximately three to four times per month with a support boat average duration of 3-5 days per mooring. When there is no tanker moored on the SPM, trained and qualified Uaukewai divers and maintenance personnel efficiently provide preventive maintenance and general upkeep of the buoy to ensure continued safe, high quality operations.

In recent years, Uaukewai has engaged in nationally recognized charter and salvage services during the making of the motion picture "Waterworld", the Disney film "Meet the Deeldes", and Harrison Ford's "Six Days and Seven Nights". Uaukewai also provided charter towing services in support of the U.S. Navy's departure from Midway Island prior to returning it to the Department of Fish and Wildlife.

To serve the needs of our many elite customers, Uaukewai maintains a diverse fleet of specialized vessels and equipment which includes commercial diving support equipment, underwater video cameras, remotely operated underwater vehicles and salvage related floatation equipment.
